I am enrolled in a graduate program but won’t graduate before August 2024. Can I still apply to your program?
No. All applicants must have either earned their graduate degree by August 2024 (the start of supervised practice) or be accepted to or currently enrolled in the University of Alabama or Georgia State University’s graduate programs.
Do you provide scholarships for the University of Alabama’s or Georgia State University’s graduate degree programs?
Not at this time. Both programs do provide financial aid for their students. We are continuously raising funding for interns to support them in their graduate school tuition, so funds may be available in the future. In the meantime, applicants should make arrangements to cover their graduate school tuition.
I am eligible to apply for the DDIP Preselct Scholarship. Do I need to complete a separate DICAS application in addition to the Scholarship application?
No. The DDIP Preselect Scholarship application will collect all of the information needed for us to evaluate your application for both the scholarship and the dietetic internship program.
Where do I send my electronic transcripts?
Email them to internship@diversifydietetics.org.
Do I have to send in official transcripts or can I send in a copy in .pdf format?
Yes. The preselect application is an application to our accredited dietetic internship program. To maintain program quality, we require official transcripts.
I’m worried that my transcripts may not be delivered before the deadline. What can I do?
Consider ordering electronic transcripts, which are typically delivered more quickly than paper transcripts. If you know your transcript is in transit, but may not arrive by the application deadline, email us at internship@diversifydietetics.org.
Will I be required to find my own supervised practice rotation sites?
No! The DDIP team will provide support in all of your rotation placements. We will also handle all affiliation agreement administration for your practice sites.
How do I find my DPD course list?
Contact your DPD program to get your list of DPD courses. These vary slightly from program to program.
Do I use +/- in my GPA calculation?
No.
Do I use all courses I’ve ever taken in my overall undergraduate GPA calculation?
Yes.
